1. What we collect
SmurfCheck.gg collects the following data when you use the site:
- A randomly generated session ID stored in your browser's localStorage. This is used solely to prevent duplicate votes and is never linked to your identity.
- Your votes (Smurf / Legit) on League of Legends accounts, stored alongside your session ID.
- Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) collected automatically by our hosting provider (Vercel). These are used for security and performance purposes only.
2. What we do NOT collect
- We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information.
- We do not require registration or login.
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
3. League of Legends account data
The account data displayed on this site (summoner names, ranks, winrates, champion data) was scraped from publicly available sources (op.gg) and is used solely for community research purposes. No private or sensitive player data is stored.
4. Cookies & localStorage
We use localStorage (not cookies) to store your anonymous session ID. This data stays in your browser and is never transmitted to third parties. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
If we add advertising in the future (e.g. Google AdSense), those services may use cookies. We will update this policy accordingly.
5. Third-party services
- Vercel – hosting provider. May collect standard access logs. Vercel Privacy Policy
- Supabase – database provider. Stores vote data and account data. Supabase Privacy Policy
6. Your rights
Since we do not collect personally identifiable information, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete. If you have any concerns, you can contact us via Reddit (u/jack37512).
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
